5.0 out of 5 stars Bought it to use with my laptop
Just to clarify, I do not own a ps5. I bought this controller to use with my laptop and other devices.

I’ve been using this controller for over 6 months. I’ve connected it to my Macbook Air to play games on a switch emulator and cloud streaming (Xbox game pass). I’ve used it with my iPad and Pixel 6 to play mobile games and it’s worked perfectly for all these devices. The buttons feel good (although maybe slightly mushy compared to higher end controllers), I’ve had no joystick drift, and the haptics and triggers are great.

I’m also slightly biased because I love the color so much, but I’ve owned or at least regularly used controllers from pretty much every major console over the last 3 generations and this is by far the best I’ve used.

4.0 out of 5 stars Really good gamepad
This might be a device close to a perfect gamepad. I really like the soft buttons it has and the triggers. The vibration is also pretty good and can be adjusted properly – it is soft when you turn it down and strong enough when it’s all the way up. Joysticks feel quite nice as well. Also, it works just fine on Linux with both, usb cable and wireless (it connects with Bluetooth the the computer).
And if you are like me and read the description saying “use the cable that comes with playstation for this controller”, this controler does NOT have a hardware lock on the cable and any USB C to A cable should work just fine. However beware that the battery on it is not easily replaceable and I am not sure if you even can get the proprietary battery by itself. So if you plan to use it wirelessly, it might become an issue when the performance of the battery degrades. In this case I think xbox controller is better.
So, what do I not like about this controller? For one, it should come with a cable. For this price there is no reason not to include a USB cable with it.
Second, the touchpad it has is pretty funky and weird. It doesn’t really work that well and I am not sure why it’s included in the controller.
Other than that, it’s a pretty nice controller. And if you play a lot of games, I would definitely recommend buying the Edge version.

4.0 out of 5 stars Large hand concerns
I have basketball hands (large palms, long slender fingers). I bought this and an Xbox Series controller. When I am playing a normal game, both controllers do well. But, when I am playing dexterity games (where you must use all buttons and sticks to play) the Xbox Series controller hurts my large hands. The DualSense controller prevails in that it causes my hands no discomfort.

I have had both controllers for 8 months. The Xbox Series controller will cause pain in the pinky and ring finger of both hands. Something about the ergonomics of the Xbox version is off for basketball hands. I am a PC gamer. I buy controllers to play games on Steam.

It took 8 months of heavy gaming for the DualSense left stick to start drifting. I find this occurrence normal. The DualSense is a quality controller. I recommend it for basketball hands. I give it 4 stars instead of 5 because its battery life for wireless gaming does not compare to other brands.

4.0 out of 5 stars Advanced Features and Immersive Gameplay: A DualSense Edge Controller Review with One Drawback
The DualSense Edge Controller is a sleek and innovative addition to the world of gaming controllers. With its ergonomic design and advanced features, it offers a superior gaming experience that is unmatched by its competitors.

The controller’s buttons and triggers are highly responsive and tactile, allowing for precise and accurate control during gameplay. The adaptive triggers and haptic feedback provide a level of immersion that truly enhances the gaming experience, making it feel like you are part of the game.

The DualSense Edge Controller also features a built-in microphone and speaker, allowing for easy voice communication with other players. This is particularly useful for multiplayer games, where communication is essential for success.

One downside of the controller, however, is its battery life. While the controller is rechargeable, the battery life can be somewhat short, particularly when using the haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. This means that players may need to recharge the controller more frequently than they would like, which can be inconvenient during long gaming sessions.

Overall, the DualSense Edge Controller is a highly impressive gaming controller that offers advanced features and a superior gaming experience. While its battery life could be improved, this does not detract from the overall quality and performance of the controller. If you are looking for a high-quality and innovative gaming controller, the DualSense Edge Controller is definitely worth considering.

Write an amazon-like review for the duelsense edge controller, I liked everything, but the battery life
I recently purchased the DualSense Edge Controller and have been blown away by its performance and features. This controller is truly a game-changer in the world of gaming controllers, with its advanced technology and sleek design.

The buttons and triggers on the controller are highly responsive and provide a satisfying tactile feedback that enhances gameplay. The adaptive triggers and haptic feedback add an extra level of immersion, making it feel like you are truly part of the game.

The built-in microphone and speaker are also highly convenient, allowing for easy communication with other players during multiplayer games. I’ve found this feature to be particularly useful and has added an extra layer of enjoyment to my gaming experience.

However, I do have one issue with the controller: its battery life. While the controller is rechargeable, I’ve found that the battery life can be somewhat short, especially when using the haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. This means that I need to recharge the controller more often than I would like, which can be a bit of a hassle during long gaming sessions.

Despite this one issue, I would still highly recommend the DualSense Edge Controller to anyone in the market for a high-quality and innovative gaming controller. Its features and performance are truly outstanding, and it has significantly enhanced my gaming experience. If you’re willing to overlook the battery life issue, you won’t regret investing in this top-of-the-line gaming controller.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great controller
I’ve owned every generation of PlayStation, and this controller is a fantastic evolution of all previous PlayStation controllers.

I’ve used other third-party controllers. They work, however they either don’t feel right, or they’re missing features. This controller feels right.

The adaptive triggers took some time for me to get used to because I’m used to having such a long pull. However I am adapting and my response time while playing FPS games is improving.

The customizability is off the charts, very good attention to detail. Although I most likely won’t use a fraction of the options, it’s good to know they’re there.

Although I wish they used higher quality sticks that don’t require replacing, I do like the fact that I could spend 20 or $40 to keep my controller running as opposed to having to buy a new controller.

Which registers the joystick position overall, as I mentioned a lot of thought was put into this design and it feels great, works great, and I love it.

Battery life is a bit short though

4.0 out of 5 stars Stick Drift
This is not a problem with the seller; however, it is a problem that I have had with modern controllers with just general use. After ordering my PS5 in August 2022, I had to replace the controller due to stick drift in November 2022; which lead me to purchase this controller in November with a warranty along with my other Black Friday deals.

Fast-forward to the current day… You’ve Guessed it had to order another controller after 6 months. This would be fine if they weren’t $70 plus dollars at the very least with 0 alternatives that would encourage better innovation with the thumbstick durability or at a cheaper price. (P.S. If you have some products or services that could prevent thumbstick drift, it would be greatly appreciated)

On to the Warranty issue, I purchased a warranty but absolutely dread having to be on the phone for hours on my off days. Even filing warranty claims feel completely unclear, due to the lack of instructions.

5.0 out of 5 stars battery life suxs. But worth it
Ok all around great controller. In cod aka call of duty my k/d ratio improved by alot. The different thumb stick sizes are awesome and you can swap the thumb sticks if you get stick drift for 19.99 on Amazon or Sony website. It has 3 different trigger stops. Cons battery life is trash so horrible. But it dose come with a really long charging cable I think it’s 10ft long and it comes with a cable lock to lock the cable into the controller. And the other con is the price I think its way over priced compared to other pro controllers. Would I buy another no unless the price came down to about 100 bucks but am I happy I got it yes do I regret buying it no.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great option if you like Sony/PS style stick layout
I only use the DualSense for PC games. Works very well with the DSX emulator software available on Steam. Since there are very few PC games that make use of the DualSense in its native mode, I set DSX to emulate an XBox controller. The emulator should work well for any game weather or not played from the Steam launcher or not.

4.0 out of 5 stars feels like what should of come with the ps5
Its expensive I don’t like that, But its a good controller. Feels good in the hand, solid, its adjustable and programable but I don’t use the programing. I use the paddles for l3 and r3 because I don’t want to damage the sticks. The controller that came with my ps5 started to drift @ 6 months so thats why I got this controller because you can change the sticks and i feel thats cheaper than buying a new controller every so often. Would of been nice if this solution came with the ps5, I live on an island so I need quality stuff cuz service is not going to reach me.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great controller for Ps5
Overall great ps5 controller basically it’s all the same from the other versions it’s just different colors, I like this color that’s why I bought it, like the quality of controller I love the texture on the controller feels nice to me, just remember these are wireless controllers and they don’t come with a wire to charge them, that’s the only problem I had with it, because say this the first time buying a controller you don’t have extra cable wires for it, but say future reference I know and it won’t be a problem but remember the cable you need is a usb C cable.
